The Scottish detox - you may be wondering what I mean by that? Sometimes, when everything in life starts catching up with you, you find yourself doing everything at 100 miles per hour and forgetting to breathe, that's probably when you need to take a step back and have some time away! A detox, so to speak, from the busy life around you including all its stress. Go somewhere you can feel detached from your familiar surroundings, somewhere new and refreshing. My trip to the Isle of Skye certainly ticked those boxes!

When most people think of visiting Scotland, Edinburgh and Loch Ness are the first spots that come to mind. I'm sure both these locations make for a wonderful holiday, but personally i think a roadtrip through the Scottish highlands to the Isle of Skye is far better, especially when looking for a detox away from the busy life!

We were able to enjoy an amazing 8 days in the Isle of Skye, although some of which was spent traveling! A 13 hour car ride may not seem enjoyable to some, but with good music, good company and good views, what's not to love about a roadtrip?! I know earlier i referred to this as a detoxifying relaxing holiday, but it still was quite the adventure! The activities of this holiday seemed to be from one extreme to the other, but regardless of what you do in the Isle of Skye, whether it's hiking the Old Man Of Storr at 2 in the morning! Or having a relaxing evening walk along the coral beach, I'm certain you'll enjoy every second of it and will be itching to tell your friends all about it.

That's why I've decided to share with you my experiences in the Isle Of Skye, watch this space as i share stories and photos from each day i spent in Skye! And for those of you who are considering going to Skye, I'll tell you all about the 'must go' places, somethings just shouldn't be missed!
